The Opening approval report helps you better understand the volume of approved openings for a selected time period and how many openings are currently pending approval. The period filter is based on the opening creation date.

With this report you can:

  • Monitor currently ongoing approval processes in order to identify which of them should be fast-tracked

  • Review the data of completed approval processes, with an emphasis on metrics such as average time-to-send and average time-to-approve in order to recognize potential bottlenecks

  • Slice the opening approval process data by various criteria in order to explore and investigate which approval processes were delayed and what caused such delays

  • Analyze the ups and downs in the number of approved openings over time in order to identify periods of considerable trend changes and understand what caused such shifts

  • Assess the performance of individual approvers in order to ensure that the approval process proceeds smoothly and efficiently

The report is divided into these sections:

  • KPIs - get a quick glance at key metrics relating to concluded as well as ongoing approval processes

  • Approval trend - identify trends for concluded approval processes over time

  • Opening approval summary - slice and analyze aggregated data relating to approved openings by selected criteria

  • Approved opening - review a detailed list of all openings approved within the selected time period

The KPIs section of this report enables you to quickly evaluate your metrics, appearing similar to the following:

By default this section displays data taken from the current month, featuring the following metrics:

  • Pending openings - the total number of openings that are currently pending approval

  • Pending: not yet sent for approval - The total number of pending openings that have not yet been sent for approval

  • Pending: sent for approval - the total number of openings currently pending approval that have already been sent for approval

  • Approved openings - the total number of approved openings that were created within the selected time period, as well as the openings that were rejected

  • Average time to send (days) - the average number of days, from the date on which the opening was created and until the opening was sent for approval

  • Average time to approve (days) - the average number of days, from the date on which the approval for the opening was sent and until the request was either approved or rejected

Opening approval trends

The Opening approval trends chart enables you to identify and highlight trend patterns by various time intervals, featuring the following values:

  • Approved

  • Average time to send (days)

  • Average time to approve (days)

By observing trend shifts in the number of approved openings, the average time-to-send, and the average time-to-approve you can investigate the causes for such shifts, learn from them, and improve your hiring process accordingly.

  • Approved

  • Average time to send (days)

You can slice the data by selected criteria, including the default and custom position fields along with additional fields such as approver and many more.
