How can I track the number of applications on my careers site using analytics tools like Google Analytics?

Marketing professionals often use analytics tools to measure campaign performance. For careers websites, tracking conversions, that is, visitors who submit applications, is essential.

To track when candidates submit applications, you can set up a "Thank you" page that works with your analytics tools, such as Google Analytics. This lets you monitor application submissions as conversions. To set it up:

  1. Create a page on your careers website with a message like: "Thank you for applying! We’ll be in touch if there’s a good fit."

  2. Tell Comeet where this new page is located.

  3. If you use the WordPress plugin: In WordPress, go to the Comeet plugin settings page (Settings > Comeet). Select the “Thank you” page you’ve created and click Save.

  4. If you use a custom implementation: Ask your developer to include the Thank You page URL using the thankyou-url parameter when initializing the Comeet API. For more info, see the Comeet API page.

Why aren't changes to the position reflected on my website?

  • Careers websites hosted on Comeet: Updates may take up to 30 minutes to appear.

  • Custom careers website: Updates are affected by two caching layers:

    • Comeet’s side: Changes take up to 30 minutes to process.

    • Your website’s side: Check with your web developer. If your website updates every 30 minutes, it may take up to an hour for changes to appear.

How can I allow candidates to submit their resume if they don’t find a suitable position?

To allow candidates who cannot find a suitable position to submit their resume, follow these steps:

  1. In Comeet, create a new position, name it something like “General Application”, and publish it. Then, copy the Comeet Position ID from the Position > Description tab and share it with your developer.

  2. Ask your developer to create a link on your careers page, such as “Can’t find a suitable position? Send us your resume!”. When candidates click this link, they’ll see the embedded application form using the Comeet application widget and the Position ID of the general position.

  3. Ensure your developer filters out the general position ssing the Comeet Position ID so it doesn’t appear among your active job openings.

Why is the position page link not updated/redirecting to the career page?

When a job is posted on an integrated job site that is not hosted by Comeet, Comeet doesn't automatically know the URL because it depends on the site's settings. A unique code is generated when the first viewer accesses the newly posted job page. This code informs Comeet of the correct link to the job on your site.

In simpler terms, until someone visits the new job page that was posted, the link within the job in Comeet will direct users to the main job page. To update this link (position card > settings), simply visit the job page.

Where can I find my Company UID and API token?

To find your Company UID and API token, from your avatar at the top right, navigate to Settings > Sourcing > Careers Website. Scroll down to Integrated website > Careers API and you'll find the Company UID and API token.

Please, note that you need Owner, Admin, or IT admin permission to access this section.

Can I whitelist my own domain for loading my application form widget?

Yes, you can restrict your application form widget to load only on specific domains by whitelisting them in Comeet. Follow these steps to set it up:

  1. In Comeet, from your avatar on the top right, navigate to Settings > Sourcing > Careers website.

  2. Scroll down to Integrated domains and enter the domains allowed to embed Comeet’s Careers API widget, separated by commas:

This feature is especially beneficial for very large companies that support multiple domains. For example, if your company operates multiple websites, each with its own domain, you may want to ensure that your application form widget is only accessible on the specific domains you've authorized.
