Integration with Workday

Automatically create a new employee in Workday when you hire a candidate

Updated over a week ago

Plan: All plans

Role: AdminOwnerIT manager

Workday, Inc. is an on‑demand (cloud-based) financial management and human capital management software vendor. Workday is a pioneer in software-as-a-service business applications and has often been recognized for its ease of use and quick implementation, compared with on-premises HCM and finance applications.

Configure the integration

  1. In Recruit, from your avatar at the top right, select Settings > Process > Integrations.

  2. Scroll down to Talent Management and find Workday in the list.

  3. You will be asked to enter credentials for a user in Workday. We suggest creating a dedicated user in Workday for this purpose and naming it “Recruit”.

  4. To support internal mobility, Recruit lets you skip creating a new profile for someone already employed at your company.

    • To allow this, check Allow users who hire to choose not to create new employee profiles in Workday.

  5. Click Activate.

Working with the Workday integration

After enabling Workday, when a candidate’s status is changed to Hired in Recruit, a new employee profile is created in Workday with the following details:

  • First name

  • Middle name

  • Last name

  • Country

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Street address

  • City

  • Zip code
